VanDuzer Mechanical

Terrible customer service and follow up. I have used Van Duzer Mechanical for several jobs (Furnaces, hot water heaters etc….), I always paid my invoices on time. They used to be responsive, reliable and reasonably priced. This has changed recently, they are overpriced, not responsive and don’t follow up on their work if something goes wrong. Work quality has gone down as well. It’s unfortunate!!

overpriced, revengeful service. 2 people to replace bathroom faucets which we supplied and they were not very friendly and on their cell phone every time I checked on them. They charge $275.00 to walk in the door according to the worker. We had just had a death in the family and my husband was away, otherwise he would have been able to do it himself. $540.00 for an hour's worth of labor and parts (but we supplied the parts) which we wanted to discuss but no one replied to our calls to dispute the bill. As a result we stopped payment on the check and TJ called finally and was nasty, calling us racist as well as other insults and implied that we had done something similar before (which we did not as they have been very good in the past). We rewrote the check and made a mistake, putting VanDuzer Plumbing, not VanDuzer Mechanical on the check- yes a mistake on our part. They wrote us a horrible letter back calling us disgraceful, and that we had slapped their workers in the face and made personal threats as well. This is not the " established and well loved HVAC business" (their words) that we have dealt with in the past and due to our time of loss behavior like this is unprofessional and unforgivable. I assume the workers saw a woman on their own and decided to charge what they want. The original bill stated parts and labor but I corrected him as we supplied the parts! Very suspect. My friend had just had them do a major plumbing job and her cost was much less for more work! So if you don't want to be taken advantage of, insulted, threatened etc. call someplace else.. We have used VanDuzer Mechanical for several different residential issues, and they also work on my commercial business location. We have had only excellent experiences with them. They call back in a timely fashion, they schedule quickly (sometimes even same day) and everyone we've ever spoken to is friendly and respectful and knowledgeable. TJ is one particular technician who has been to our house several times. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and honestly such a pleasure to deal with that we look forward to his arrival. He is truly a gem and you guys are lucky to have him!
