I don’t know what has taken me this long to write a review, but I have been working exclusively with Suncoast for almost a decade for all of my electrical needs. Superior customer experience from the time they pick up phone, to scheduling an appointment, followed by ease of billing. They’ve been trusted by us for all of the fun projects, and the not so fun including when our home was completely flooded in Treasure Island. Suncoast sent our Electrician Matt (who has done all of our work to date and knows my home) to the house to assist with safely turning the power back to changing outlets where we needed power most. Matt was out taking care of customers even before he had all of his own repairs completed. Wow. We made the decision to sell our property and move to Palmetto. We needed electrical work done in our new house and skipped the local guys and called Suncoast. They sent Matt and Robert down for a week to help us with various projects, including wiring a 50A outlet for our RV. Now, both Matt and Rob know the new house and will continue to contact Suncoast for all of our needs. If you ever need a reference for these guys let their office know, more than happy to provide one.
The short story is they are tardy and they fail to properly communicate a change. I called on a Monday and received an appointment on a Friday. I scheduled the work to be done for my senior mother at her condo. I would be there to provide entry to the building and elevator access and then introduce mom to the tech before heading to work. I received an hour window (btwn 8-9) for the tech to arrive. This was a small simple job and yet the tech scheduled was changed on the day of the work. I found this out when I called at 850 am to see when he would arrive. I was assured he was on the way and should arrive shortly. Now it was Ed not George coming, but I only found that out by calling - no heads up in advance. If this was my mom dealing with this alone this could have been unsettling. At 930am, I called the office the 2nd time because I had no text from Ed he was on the way. I had to leave and go to work - Ed was still coming. My mom did ok with Ed, he showed up before 10am. He was nice and got the 20 min job done. I originally planned to use Suncoast again because I have more work at my home and this was my trial run, but based on this experience I would not recommend or use them again. Did anyone get scolded?
We were referred to Suncoast Electric by our realtor after some minor issues arose from a home inspection. Robert came out at the scheduled time, was super pleasant, and got the work completed at a fair price. Super happy with their team and will use again.
