At last...a real Technician who will solve the problem! So my neighbor gives me a slightly used 10 year old Briggs&Stratton whole house 18KW natural gas generator as it was not compatible with his new house battery system. OK, great...only problem is it starts and quits. I start calling generator repair companies in San Diego county and no one is interested in coming out to look at it. I am not even asking a price cause it is worth it at most any price to get a free generator running. The companies including some big names either say they don't service that brand or all they do is change oil and battery for a fee. I actually went on EBAY trying to find manuals for it and found nothing. So the generator sits for over a month and I finally find and call Sun Ray Electric and their Technician answers the call from a job site. He asks a few questions about the model number and says he does not normally work on Briggs, but he thinks he has a manual on it. We set up an appointment and he arrives on time, even texting me ahead of time to let me know he is en route..wow! He arrives in a Sun Ray truck, dressed professionally, and is very pleasant, reassuring me that he likely can get to the bottom of the problem. He starts troubleshooting pulling out the old manual and a multi-meter (volt/ohm meter). He calls the factory several times and they are of little help. He finally resorts to old fashioned schematic wire tracing and within 20 minutes realizes that the people that removed the unit had not reconnected the voltage output sensing wires connected to the circuit breaker (pictured). He connects them after verifying schematics an voila, the unit starts and runs great..problem solved. He turned my dead generator from not worth much to really valuable in about 45 minutes. The price was fair and I can not say enough about Sun Ray. They are now my go to company for anything electrical. Bravo Sun Ray!

I have used this company twice at 2 different properties and I cannot say enough about them. Both jobs were done expertly and professionally and I was completely satisfied with the work!! A+!! James was so great at installing light fixtures and ceiling fans! The price is more than fair and I will not be using anyone else for future electrical needs!! Just the best!!!
