I purchased my home over 20yrs ago. I had central air but baseboard heat. This winter, my electric bill ran the highest it's ever been which prompted me to look into getting central heat. My old HVAC unit was a clunker and an eyesore(LOL) but it never broke down or needed major repairs and it got me thru over 20 summers. I obtained 3 estimates and S.R. Pete and Son came in with the most competitive estimate. Stanley Jr came out to provide the estimate and he was friendly, courteous, professional, patient with answering my many questions, and prompt in returning my calls. The staff answering the phones were also very friendly & professional. On the first day of work Stanley Jr showed up (on time) and introduced me to the men who would be installing the new unit. I think their names were Tony & Luther. They too were friendly & professional. It's been less than a week with my new unit but so far, I'm pleased. Everyone at S.R. Pete & Son made the entire experience a positive one. I felt like Stanley Jr was honest in his assessment of my HVAC needs and wasn't giving a sales pitch. (Sidenote: all 3 of the estimates came in with the same assessment of my HVAC needs. That made me feel good)Definitely check them out for any of your HVAC needs!
Highly efficient heat pumps take very competent repair people. We've been lucky that the few repairs we've had were easily handled by SR Pete and Sons. They also installed the units. We now opt for the yearly service--well worth it. SR Pete and Sons also replaced our unit at our Ocean City condo, which has worked flawlessly during the summer rental seasons.
We've been using S.R. Pete & Sons exclusively now for at least a dozen years, after trying at least 2 others. Our experience: They're honest and hard-working, do good work, did NOT try to sell us an inappropriate unit, they care about their customers, & have reasonable prices (better than others for similar HVAC units). We've bought 2 units from them, had them serviced when needed, and use them for maintenance, too. When we had an in-warranty claim that the manufacturer hesitated to honor, S.R. Pete & Sons helped us prove to the manufacturer that the needed replacement part was indeed under warranty and so it got covered! Highly recommend S.R. Pete & Sons!
