Richards Rooter and Plumbing

I can’t say enough good things about Richards Rooter and Plumbing ! Last week our water heater decided to die at 7 PM on a Friday (of course). I called them expecting to leave a voicemail, but someone actually answered, and within 90 minutes Richard showed up. He was professional, friendly, and diagnosed the problem in minutes. Instead of trying to upsell me on a whole new unit, he explained my options clearly and fixed it that same night for a very fair price. Today they came back to install a different issue (slow drain in the kitchen) and again, fast, clean, and reasonably priced. The tech even put booties on without me asking and left the place spotless. Honest, fast, fairly priced, and genuinely nice people. In a world where it feels like every service company tries to take advantage, I can’t say enough good things about Richards Rooter and Plumbing !

Richard is wonderful! Having owned property in three different cities, I can genuinely say my experience with Richard is by far the best I've ever had with a plumber. Our home in Tarzana presents its own set of challenges, from two young kids to large gatherings and those ever-present ficus trees, leading to periodic clogs in both our main and smaller branch lines. While I'm pretty handy, sometimes a hand snake just won't cut it. And although I've operated plumbing machines before, I don't like to. They're heavy, dangerous, and can easily cause bigger problems if you're not a professional. When we recently had another clog and needed immediate assistance, I knew I didn't want to deal with the large service providers I'd used previously. I was set on finding a genuinely local plumber, not just a big company or marketing organization that looks local. (I'm in ads and marketing, and it's worth noting that when you search for plumbers, you often get directed to these larger entities that refer you out and take a significant cut, driving up costs for you and taking money from the local tradesperson.) After sifting through countless websites and search results, I was so happy to discover Richard. He was responsive, communicative, and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond by offering advice on other issues to help us reduce costs in the long run. Crucially, unlike the big companies, he didn't try to push any expensive, generally worthless services. I cannot recommend Richard enough. He's now our go-to plumber for any future issues, and we'll certainly be inviting him back for bigger projects like rerunning pipes, installing new fixtures, and once our current water heater dies, a tankless water heater.
