Our garage door opener installer said running the garage door opener through an extension cord was fine. I wasn't comfortable with that as a long-term solution, so I emailed Josh. He was responsive and had the older light fixture converted to an outlet that same day for a great price. He and his sons did a fantastic job, and we're very appreciative.

Some quick background on me for context; I am disabled and used to be proficient in the trades. I've repeatedly used Newton Electric to do any work on our home. Josh, the owner and primary electrician, is the best contractor I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He is EXTREMELY punctual. He always makes the time of his appointments within a minute or two of schedule. He and his help are super professional. They respect your home, property, and space. They even wear contractor shoe covers (like you see with the cable technicians, for the uninitiated). They safeguard (prep), if needed, and leave the work area as if they were never there. He is pet friendly. Josh is an animal lover himself and not bothered with them being around. My pets are pretty laid back but are curious from afar. He acknowledged them playfully and worked unbothered by them. This doesn't mean I recommend to keep frantic and/or excited animals around. Simply, he is not bothered by their presence, when other contractors can be. He seriously has the best prices. Ways to pay are a plenty. He has great options on how to pay. His work is high quality and he pays close attention to detail. I can be really critical of other's work. He puts the same level of attention into his tasks that I would and that really impressed me. He works hard and with a sense of urgency. Once he gets going, he has laser focus. He will figure it out, fix it, install it... whatever. He gets it done and in a fairly quick amount of time. Things I've expected to take a day or longer get finished in less than. He's taken on more projects while here! This was a big one for me. If he can squeeze something in, he will as long as is doesn't affect the quality of his work and/or make him late. Who can blame him!? But its seldom he hasn't taken on more work for me! I saved the best for last... his demeanor is amazing. He is such a wonderful human being. The guy is rather soft spoken, kind, and easy going. My wife and I think he and his help are lovely, genuinely down to earth people. Its gotten to the point that I've used him for things outside of his scope of work. He is an electrician, I've asked him to help out in areas I would normally use a handyman. I honestly trust him. There are very few folks that I do, and he managed to earn mine. If its telling of how good he is, I rarely write reviews. This is the fifth or sixth project I've used Josh for and felt compelled to share my experiences. I plan to use Newton Electric until my dying day. Considering its a family owned business and the next generation are already "in the trenches" (the help I keep mentioning!), His business will certainly out live me, and I am happy for him it will!

Josh is great to deal with and knows what is up. Responsive and easy going. Impressive how much they got done in a single day at our home! Definitely will do business with again.
