I hired Moon Services for Aeroseal duct sealing ($2,500) in September 2025. What followed was a frustrating experience that ultimately required legal action. The Work: Moon attempted the sealing twice. The first attempt failed to maintain minimum pressure (the reason became clear later). The second time, they claimed it completed successfully. However, my inspection revealed numerous gaps in ductwork with no evidence of sealing agent. I later found multiple entirely disconnected ducts in my crawlspace - critical issues that should have been flagged during the Aeroseal process, even if repairs weren't included in the scope. Third-Party Verification: Fortunately, my project was part of the Energize Delaware program. Their independent inspector confirmed my findings and shared they've seen similar quality issues with Moon's other Energize Delaware Aeroseal projects. This appears to be a pattern, not an isolated incident. I later learned that Moon was removed from the Energize Delaware program as a result of these quality issues. Moon's Response: When I contacted Moon about the defective work, they were dismissive. I initially gave them the opportunity to return and make it right - they stalled and ultimately refused. After finding them unable and unwilling to perform the work correctly, I requested a full refund. They stopped responding entirely. I even contacted Aeroseal corporate, who attempted to intervene on my behalf - to no avail. Legal Action Required: Left with no choice, I filed suit in Delaware Justice of the Peace Court (Case JP13-25-018413). Though they ultimately paid my claim, it's unfortunate it had to come to that. Bottom Line: While other work Moon performed for me was satisfactory, their handling of the Aeroseal project destroyed any trust. They appear to lack the technical skill to properly apply Aeroseal and seem to use it as an upsell to customers who can't technically evaluate the results. Homeowner beware!
We’ve been working with Moon air for about two years now. They’ve come out a total of 4 times to service our unit since installing a whole system into our home. The installation went great and the technicians were very knowledgeable and got the job done efficiently. The last two times that we’ve had our unit serviced have been nothing short of great. Adrian was friendly, respectful, and informative when working on the unit and explained everything that he was going to do before he did it and took the time to make sure that we understood. This latest service was a real treat because he brought another technician as a helper to get the pan on the unit replaced. All of the work that was to be done was done in a timely manner and the whole time they were working they remained positive and updated us often on the progress. Very nice, personable pair. Communication is key so after our first two experiences with other technicians in the past, these last two experiences with the check in and the repair with Adrian and now Darnell was relieving. Thank you both and the whole moon air team for working together to make this a smooth and great experience for us.
Darnell and his partner were very professional. He took great care not to mess up anything in my home. I am happy with the superb service that I received. Paul the GM was also very approachable, kind and solution based.
