Mauzy Cooling, Heating, Plumbing, and Electrical

Mauzy has been my go to, 4 years when I need servicing in my Vista, upstairs condo. The technicians have been prompt , Listen, and get the job done. Couple weeks ago Frank Perez, technician Fixed the plumbing And great sense of humor😄 I was informed about a plan for $149.00 a year. When the plumber came out this time I didn’t have to pay for the flushing of water heater. My first time using this plan.

Robert performed our semiannual inspection of our heat pump system. He was very pleasant and professional. He gave us some recommendations and the system checkup was good. I was pleased with the service we got.

Our furnace went out back in December and we had a couple companies come give us quotes. We ended up going with Mauzy because they were able to do it quickly (three days after quotes). In the end, I wish we would’ve gone with another company 😔 Mauzy had great communication, and they’re able to send technicians out quickly. Technicians were always very nice guys, very kind and respectful. However, we had a brand new furnace installed on a Tuesday, and it didn’t work. They said it’s common with that type of furnace but that makes zero sense if it’s brand new out of the box. They needed to wait for a part to be in stock. They tried the part on Friday, it didn’t work, so they came back out on Saturday to install an entirely new system. Once it was installed, we had to wait two weeks and have the city come inspect it (standard procedure). The city said it didn’t pass inspection and they were surprised Mauzy missed part of the installation project (since they are so experienced with HVAC in the community). We called Mauzy and scheduled the fix, they came later in the week and said it should be good. So we scheduled for a new inspection. It failed AGAIN, and the city said it was absolutely shocking that they thought it would be good enough to pass. It was done incredibly poorly. Called Mauzy again, they sent a senior technician. The city said it’s honestly not perfect but they didn’t want to keep putting us through this and it’s “good enough”. With two little ones and a dog, it’s honestly so tough to keep having people come out to the house. All in all, it took 9 weeks of phone calls, installs, and technicians. This cost WAY too much in our time and energy. I wish we would’ve paid more with another company. Unfortunately, I had a coworker say the exact same thing happened to them with Mauzy installing an AC unit. Super unfortunate, I would not recommend them for HVAC.
