We recently completed a full exterior lighting installation for our new home and couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with Lighting Distinctions. I started out by getting competitive bids from multiple vendors, looking for a partner who could handle both the design and installation with minimal input from us. Lighting Distinctions stood out from the start. Joel and his team brought a level of organization and professionalism that was clear in every step of the process. They were quick to respond, took the initiative on design, and came back with thoughtful, well-executed options. The installation crew was equally impressive—efficient, respectful, and had everything installed within days. On top of that, they went above and beyond by taking on some additional programming work to help us get everything set up and running smoothly. The end result speaks for itself—you can see some of the photos in this review—but even beyond the visuals, the entire process was seamless. Professionalism, value for money, outstanding communication, and a truly can-do attitude—Joel and his team exceeded our expectations in every way. Lighting Distinctions did a fantastic job installing our permanent Christmas lights. They use Gemstone brand lighting, which looks beautiful and allows us to change colors for different holidays year-round. The team was responsive, professional, and easy to work with! They even fit us into their schedule quickly. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them!

I'm really happy with the quality and professionalism of Lighting Distinctions. Stephanie, the designer, listened to all of my needs and came up with a plan for both front and back yard, including several rounds of changes as we experimented with demo setups. Joel and the team of installers were on time and very thoughtful, and offered great ideas for final tweaks. They came to my house several times just to make sure everything was just right. No ask was too small, and everyone was kind and respectful throughout. My neighbors immediately noticed and sent me emails saying "the neighborhood has been upgraded!" I had no lights at all before, so it was kind of depressingly dark after sunset, and my guests would all come inside during parties. Now it's so beautiful out there that I just want to spend all my summer evenings hanging out -- I basically tripled the usable square footage of my house by creating lit 'rooms' outside. I'm loving the color-changing lights I put in front of the house: the phone app lets you schedule different colors and brightness for any occasion, so I've got colors for Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, etc. all programmed in. They only sell the VERY highest-quality lights, so they are pricy, but the full-service installation and long-lasting fixtures should last the life of the home.
