I can’t recommend James Brown Heating & Air enough. I live in a 180+ year old row home in the borough of West Chester, and for 15 years I dealt with miserable summers and uneven winters. My old boiler and radiator setup was inefficient, expensive, and created major temperature swings from room to room. After working with several companies and getting nowhere, I honestly believed discomfort was just part of owning an old home. When we started a family, we knew it was time to upgrade. I researched UNICO systems and met with another large chain provider, but their high-pressure approach and unreasonable pricing did not sit well with me. They insisted I would need mini-splits on top of the UNICO system, which defeated the purpose of finding one clean solution. Scott and Kyle were impeccable! I cannot express my gratitude enough for their help in an emergency situation in the worst of weather conditions when three other companies failed us; the third company telling us we needed a new heater without even determining why the heater was shutting off. It ended up we had a major leak in the heater pipes in the crawl space that was leaking down the wall. Not one of the prior three companies thought to look for leaks despite the heater shutting down due to low water. Scott and Kyle worked in our crawl space for hours chiseling and repairing the leak, and found another pipe that was about to burst as well. We didn’t need a new heater after all! They were knowledgeable, skilled and respectful. I wish I knew to call them years ago. I will never use anyone else moving forward! Integrity is hard to come by these days! I will recommend them to everyone I know!
