Full disclosure – I am a cost conscious engineer that analyzed the heck out of solar before making the decision 1 year ago. Fast forward, I am very happy with my investment decision. For some details, I chose Panasonic panels, they may cost a little more but I am in the manufacturing business and have firsthand experience and utmost respect for Japanese quality systems. Second, I chose the right solar company to work with – Incentive Solar. I tend to vector towards local family owned service businesses as I have lived in the same San Diego home for 28 years. They did an excellent job of explaining solar benefits, provided a well-thought-out design for my roof/location (see pic) and finished the installation on time.
