Drain Rooter Service

I called DRS at 5pm when my sewer line backed up. Todd answered the call, told me when he would be here, and had the line unblocked by 6:30pm. I've known for 10+ years that the line needed replacement. Todd offered one of the best quotes I've had for this over the years so I moved forward. They started the following Monday, got the inspection set up (yes, he handled permits with city of San Jose) for Thursday the same week, and finished that day after inspection was passed. Communication throughout the process was great. I highly recommend DRS.

I was totally impressed with Todd. The bathroom faucet and washing machine were making loud noises like a foghorn when turned on. I called other plumbers who said they'd need to go under the house and do diagnostic work to find the problem they thought was in the pipes. Todd said he always starts small before moving on to more extensive work.He arrived the same day, and he thought the problem was with the faucet. No need to check the water pipes yet. I bought a new faucet, and Todd promptly returned the next day to install it. Problem solved! I will be recommending him to anyone needing an honest and competent plumber. :-)

Super unprofessional. Seems like the plumber just wants money and does not care if problem is actually solved or not. I called him 15 days ago to inspect and fix a bathroom clog. He came a ran a snake for 2-3 minutes and the water started draining. He asked for a higher than normal fee, and I gave it without argument as he responded promptly to my call and came immediately. I left for a 2 week vacation next morning and on return found the bathroom drain was still getting clogged. I sent a message to him but he did not respond. I tried again the next day and he picked up the phone. Now here is where his unprofessional behavior starts. He blamed me that I might have thrown something in the toilet to cause the clog. I explain that no one was home and that the snake cleaning he did 2 weeks did not seem to have cleared the clog. Even after my clear explanation he kept telling me that I should have done something wrong. Instead of coming over and looking at the problem this guys asks for more money upfront. I am not sure why someone would ask for more money upfront without checking if their prior work was done correctly or not. This did not seem honest to me. I decided to get a snake from homedepot and run it myself. I ran the snake thoroughly and was able to extract roots from the pipe around 10-15 ft mark. See the pictures. There probably was more that got flushed out. Stay away from this company if you are seeking honest and genuine service. I would rather find someone who is honest and do the right thing.
