Be aware of this place, I went in because my ac wasn’t getting cold, so I dropped my 2009 ford explorer sport track off at auto air of Macon . Service advisor Called me back about the repair and said I needed a Condenser coil which is a $79 part and it would be 1100.00 to repair the sport track , I reply don’t worry about it I’m coming to pick it up. I am an industrial mechanic and just didn’t have time to fix it, So I decided to take a look and Upon my inspection I found a pressure line that wasn’t tight, and thats why Freon had leaked out. I saw green paint maker marks where auto air of Macon inspected. They were gonna charge me for a new condenser coil and just tighten the pressure line and fill with Freon. And that’s my reason for giving Auto air of Macon 1 star for not be Being Honest!!! People before you pay them get a second opinion. Pay the 65.00 service and get a second opinion before you agree to anything with these crooks. Now my AC is blowing freezing cold air for only $45.00 And all I did was use a crescent wrench to tighten the high-pressure line. !PLEASE GET SECOND OPINION!!!!!!! Every time I go there with the car, it’s $1000 or you need a whole AC system Every job has to cost over a grand with these crooks. Ladies if you know nothing about cars get a second opinion
Had three different mechanics work on my air. Auto air of Macon finally got me working again. Dealership wanted $3500 to do the same thing Auto Air of Macon did for $1400. Turns out it was a faulty compressor from O'Reilly's. Got AC Delco installed and works great. Will take my other truck to them next.
Big thanks to Auto Air of Macon! Your team is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad I chose to bring my vehicle to you for the A/C work — it's blowing ice-cold now and keeping me cool! Dang, I may need to turn the heat on!
