Really great work. The photos are of our 6 year old deck just before getting refinished by All Pro, and then right after! They do sanding and only light power washing, which is really important to not get deep grooves in redwood decks. I will be using them again for maintenance refinishing. The after picture has shadows from our shade sails from above, FYI, that is the zig-zag lines in one photo.
All Pro Deck has cleaned & re-oiled our cumaru wood deck for 2 years now, and they do a great job every time. They are reliable, hard-working, and have an attention to detail. They are also one of the few contractors that actually responded to our call for a bid in the first place. Highly recommended for your deck needs.
ALL PHOTOS IN THIS REVIEW WERE TAKEN DIRECTLY AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. I contracted All Pro Deck to refinish the decks and siding of my house for $5200. The work was not completed properly, and I asked them to return. The owner of All Pro visited the property, and the company emailed saying the decks were not finished properly, but the siding was fine. The siding looked exactly as it had before the work was completed. The owner came once again at my request and stated that the work wasn't completed properly because it was done when ash was falling during the northern fires, and there were similar issues with other projects in the area. I reminded him that, in addition to the ash, the stain was applied during a time of heavy drizzle, (the work was delayed because of it). The owner also stated that his company had not sanded the siding, as they did with the decking, because they didn't think it was necessary at the time—but he could see that now, a short while later, the siding needed to be sanded. I stated that it was a waste of time and money to wash and stain the siding if they weren't going to sand it: It looked exactly as before, and didn't look anything like the decking. I pointed out the areas of decking that were not sanded, and he stated they were in hard to reach areas (such as a right-angle corner). I pointed out that their workers had created multiple stain rings where they set previously opened cans of stain, and he stated that was impossible because it would take weeks to create stains of that sort. I stated the rings were of the exact same number, location, and varying sizes of the cans, and that it was my understanding that deck stain would stain decks fairly quickly, and he again stated it would take weeks for a can of stain to leave a stain ring on a deck. I provided the company photos of the incomplete work and videos of my five-year-old stripping the gunk from between the planks after they had finished, and he answered that usually his worker does a really good job, and he was surprised by the substandard work. The owner looked at the planters on the decking and informed me they needed risers of some sort or the planks would be ruined and require replacement, and I asked him why that wasn't mentioned that when his team placed the planters there. Ultimately, he agreed to send his team back, and he would apply a discount because the job wasn't done properly the first time. The company then sent me an estimate with multiple levels of service to choose from. The estimate to do the job correctly is now $7300, which includes a $300 discount. They offered no refund for the $5200 the job that was not completed properly. I replied to the company summarizing the above issues, and more, and politely requested that I be refunded and that we go our separate ways. After receiving no reply for three weeks, I resent the email and requested a response. A week later, All Pro still has not responded. I have done everything possible to amicably resolve this with the contractor. I have been patient to a fault. Now, as I said, I'd simply like to be refunded. The attached photos were produced soon after the work was completed: Two images of the siding (All Pro stated the siding did not require sanding, and left this as their finished product); an area of the deck that became discolored where All Pro personnel replaced planters (The owner later informed me the planters would permanently damage the deck if they weren't removed or put on some sort of riser); two examples of the areas of decking that were not sanded (the owner stated they were hard to reach); three rings produced by one large and two regular cans of stain (the owner stated that even though the rings were in the exact same location as where his team left the cans overnight, it would require at least two weeks for the deck stain to stain the deck); an image of a corner, which depicts the stark contrast between the appearance of the finished (but not completely sanded) decking and the finished (but not sanded) siding.
